These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Balance Bloom app and website (together, "Balance Bloom," "we," "us"). By downloading, accessing, or using Balance Bloom, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Balance Bloom helps you spend down leftover Apple Account balance by purchasing small in-app items called Seed Tokens at Apple's approved price points. You enter your balance manually, we suggest a combination of Seed Tokens that matches it as closely as possible, and you choose whether to buy.
Balance Bloom cannot read or change your Apple Account balance. Any balance you enter is a figure you provide yourself; we do not access your Apple Account, your payment methods, or your purchase history. All charges are processed by Apple, not by us.
Seed Tokens are digital support items only. They are consumed at the time of purchase. No physical product is shipped, and you do not receive a plant, seed, or any physical or shippable good. The name "Seed Token" refers to the seed we fund on your behalf through our impact program — not a seed you personally receive or own.
Each Seed Token is named after a plant (for example Sunflower, Basil, or Olive), but buying a token named after a plant does not entitle you to have that specific plant, species, or seed funded, planted, or grown. The plant names are labels for price points and for the look of the app; they are not a promise about what is planted.
When you purchase, our planner selects whichever combination of Seed Tokens best matches your balance. That means:

Some leftover balances are smaller than the price of a single seed, and Apple only allows purchases at fixed approved price points. Because of this, funding may be pooled and combined across multiple purchases.
Apple only allows purchases at fixed, approved prices, so an exact match to your balance is not always possible. When it isn't, Balance Bloom will tell you and show the closest option that does not overspend. We will never spend more than is needed to zero your balance, and we never charge you without your review and approval. The available price points depend on the in-app purchase prices Apple makes available in your region, which we do not control.
In most countries, App Store prices already include any applicable tax — what you see is what's charged. In the United States and Canada, Apple may add sales tax at checkout based on your billing address. If that pushes a purchase above your remaining Apple Account balance, Apple charges the difference to your payment method on file. Balance Bloom shows a heads-up before starting a plan on these storefronts, but the tax amount and any resulting charge are determined by Apple, not by us.
Balance Bloom is an independent app and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Apple Inc. "Apple," "App Store," and "Apple Account" are trademarks of Apple Inc. Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for Balance Bloom. For anything related to your balance, payment method, refunds, or a charge, Apple Support is the correct place to go.
Seed Token purchases are in-app purchases, not charitable donations, and they are not tax-deductible. Balance Bloom is not a registered charity, and no part of your purchase should be treated as a donation for tax purposes.
All purchases are processed and billed by Apple. Because Seed Tokens are digital items consumed at purchase, purchases are generally final. Any refund, billing dispute, or incorrect charge must be handled through Apple, which controls billing and refunds; we cannot access or reverse charges on your account. You can request refunds via Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Balance Bloom is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or that the app will match your balance exactly, be uninterrupted, or be error-free. Any balance figure you enter is your responsibility, and results depend on Apple's pricing and services, which we do not control.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Balance Bloom and its owners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of balance, funds, credit, or data, arising out of or related to your use of the app — including any amount Apple charges to your payment method (for example, sales tax added at checkout). Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to Balance Bloom will not exceed the amount you paid for Seed Tokens through the app in the three months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Balance Bloom after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
